Synopsis
Try to reach the other team's respawn point without injury!
Equipment
Two trees about 25-30 feet apart. The tree is important.
Field setup
Teams are divided equally. Each team picks a separate tree.
Game play and win condition
Call of lay on, the battle progresses normally.
When any player dies, they go back to their tree and touch to respawn. They cannot heal from their tree. They cannot commit suicide, but friendly fire is counts. They CAN hold their tree and instantly respawn once they die, making them somewhat immortal. This is why the tree is important, so that players attacking a respawn can attempt to get around the "immortal" players holding their tree.
Players holding their tree for immortality must still play their wounds. They are not invincibly, they just instantly respawn if they are touching their tree.
Goal of the game is to touch the other team's respawn without injury. If you are injured, you cannot score.
When a player touches a tree uninjured and scored, they yell "ding!" to let the field know they have scored. Ties always go to the defenders. The goal must be a clean score.
Additional notes
Games should be fast paced. If the games are taking too long, choose two closer trees. Of course something can be substituted for the tree, as long as it provides an obstacle to fight around. A picnic table, park bench, even trash cans can be used.
