Synopsis

Javelins deal black damage and Arrows deal blue. Rocks are normal. If you catch a javelin the person who through it is out!

Equipment

A dagger and Javelin for every player. Archery may be used, and Archers should have daggers as well. The field should be littered with rocks. Obviously if people have more javelins, they can start with more than one.

Field setup

Gameplay should be restricted to about 40 square yards. This keeps all the ammunition in one location

Game play and win condition

Javelins deal black damage. Arrows deal blue damage (still head legal of course). Any kill from a Javelin removes a player from the game. Any other kill merely forces a player to go to respawn. A player may use the backup dagger they have to kill, but again, this only forces a player to respawn.

If you catch a javelin, you not only send the thrower to respawn, but you also get to recruit one of your permanently dead teammates back into the game!

The goal is to get an uninjured player to the other team's respawn, or to eliminate all other players with javelin kills.

Additional notes

It is very important to have many projectiles on the field, in order to keep the dodgeball like feel of the game going. Hoarding of ammo is strictly forbidden and should be watched carefully.
