Belts, hats, accessories

Accessories can make or break an otherwise mediocre set of garb. Think of accessories as a way to fill in the details of a persona, as there is no in-game incentive for developing ones character. While stickjocks may opt to achieve the minimum, and roleplayers may go all out, find a happy middle ground that allows for creative expression and practicality. Some examples of quintessential accessories are: belts, baldric's and sashes, pouches and cases, sword frogs and loop hangers, hats and hoods, fancy shoes, walking staves and scepters, belt flags and banners, as well as all manner of jewelry.

Culturally, those who have been knighted in a particular group will wear a chivalric belt displaying their rank. White and red are common chivalric colors. Some members of the chivalry will also sport heavy chains around their neck as a show of fealty. Belt flags to signify allegiances to households/units are quite common. Trim on tabards or matching hoods is another common accessory.

While veterans and those of age may be seen carrying swords or daggers at their hip, remember that live steel of any sort is strictly prohibited on the combat field or tournament lists. Off the field, blunted or rebated steel weapons are usually allowed if properly worn and peace-bound with a cord or string.
