Banner Wars is in most cases, an event long game with queues taken from the anime, "Afro Samurai".

In this game, there are initially 10 participants. Each fighter is handed a headband/token numbered 1-10. The distribution of these numbers can be arbitrary, as it doesn't really matter int he beginning of the game.

The goal of Banner Wars is to hold the #1 headband at the end of the game. The #1 fighter often gets a prize.

The rules on moving up in rank are simple:

-This game works with honor duels. Often, a challenge is issued, and the defender establishes the duel. (Single blue, red swords, best 3 out of 5, and so on)

-To challenge a higher ranked headband, the challenger must have the number directly below. #5 can challenge #4. #3 can challenge #2, and so on.

-Only the bearer of #10 can be challenged by a fighter without a headband. Challenging #10 and defeating them is the only means of entering the Banner Wars besides being initially handed a headband.

Banner Wars ends at a pre-established time, at which point a victor is announced.
